Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 15, 2026

At Bruku we respect your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect, what we use it for, and how you can exercise your rights over it, in compliance with Law 1581 of 2012 (Habeas Data) and other applicable Colombian data protection regulations.

1. What data we collect

When you make a purchase or contact us, we may collect:

  • Full name and email address.
  • Billing address and country, when requested at checkout.
  • Order history and purchased products.
  • IP address and technical browser data, for security and fraud-prevention purposes.
  • Messages you send us by email or WhatsApp when contacting support.

Bruku does not collect or store credit/debit card data. That information is processed directly by our authorized payment gateways, under their own security standards (PCI-DSS).

2. What we use your data for

  • Process your order and deliver the corresponding digital license.
  • Send you the purchase receipt and notifications related to your order.
  • Provide support when you request it.
  • Prevent fraud and protect the security of the store.
  • Comply with legal and accounting obligations.

We do not use your data for purposes other than those described here without your prior consent.

3. How we store your data

Your order data is stored on Shopify's infrastructure (for store management) and in our own database, hosted on servers with encryption in transit and at rest, used exclusively to automate the delivery of digital licenses. Access to this information is restricted to authorized Bruku staff.

4. Who we share your information with

We share data only with the providers necessary to operate the store:

  • Shopify, as our e-commerce platform.
  • Payment gateways (such as dLocal Go and others enabled at checkout), to process payment.
  • Transactional email providers, to send your license and purchase receipts.

Bruku does not sell or rent your personal information to third parties for advertising purposes.

5. Your rights

As the owner of your data, you have the right to know, update, correct, and request the deletion of your personal information, as well as to revoke the authorization granted for its processing, under the terms of Colombian law. To exercise these rights, write to us through our contact form.

We keep your information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy and applicable legal, accounting, or tax obligations.
